The Avery County Farmers Market
The Avery County Farmers Market has everything from locally grown fresh produce, honey, jellies,
mushrooms, fresh breads, cheese, organic meats, fresh flowers, garlic, homemade crafts and fresh
eggs!
The association is organized for educational, charitable, and marketing purposes. The Farmers Market is dedicated to serve the needs of the farms and farmers throughout Avery County, promote ethical standards, encourage the growth and well-being of local farms, and educate the public in Avery County to the benefits of supporting local farms. The market is located in Banner Elk. The Banner Elk location is at the old Banner Elk Elementary on Thursday evenings from 3pm-6:30pm, opening on the last Thursday of April until the 2nd
Thursday of October.
